Its your time to update Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 or GT-I9105P to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop but with the help of custom ROM. All thanks to the developer GHsR who recently shared Android 5.0.1 Lollipop based Resurrection Remix custom firmware. However, this is very early build and all Resurrection Remix features most likely not ported yet but will surely give you many customization. Right now, this the only way to upgrade your Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop since we yet to have an official Android 5.0.1 Lollipop firmware for Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105. Its easy to install this custom ROM, all you have to do, install a custom recovery such as CWM recovery or TWRP recovery and then follow below guide.

- Swipe-typing and face unlock are NOT ROM issues. They need the proper libraries from Google Apps.
- Does not work on 4.1 stock ROM’s bootloader, please upgrade to 4.2 before flashing

This tutorial is only for Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we (PrimeHowTo) are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. Pre Requisites:
1. It’s advisable to backup your data prior flashing. I recommend app Helium for this purpose, however you can use any other preferred backup app. [General Guide]
2. Make sure your device have enough battery power (at least 50% battery power) to avoid any accidental brick. You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.
3. You must have USB Driver Installed for Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 in your PC. If you manage to access your phone data after connecting to your computer then you already have USB driver installed. [Download Driver Manually]
4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise it’s won’t be possible to transfer file between PC and Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105. By default its enabled, so you don’t have to worry. [General Guide]
5. Your device must have latest available custom recovery installed. [General Guide]

How to Install Android 5.0.1 Lollipop based Resurrection Remix ROM on Galaxy S2 Plus I9105/I9105P
- Transfer downloaded file to your Android device by connecting to PC. Make sure you copied all files on SD Card (avoid coping within folder). Important: Don’t extract any files.
- Disconnect your device from computer and then turn off your Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105.
- Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power button together until Samsung logo flash twice and then leave Power button. You should see recovery menu soon. In recovery use Volume Keys to navigate between option and Power button to select an option.

- First of all create an image of your existing OS by performing Nandroid backup of your existing ROM which you can restore later if this new ROM don’t perform the way you want or if there any glitch. To do so, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
- Now, perform data wiping task. To perform this, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping. Perform this step 3 times to avoid any bootloop issue.
- Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the Resurrection Remix (Alpha Build) Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next screen. The ROM installation will begin.
- Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the Step 6 but choose the pa_gapps-micro-5.0-ALPHA1-20141117a-signed.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
- When installation is completed, perform the Step 4 one more time and then go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 and boot into Android 5.0.1 Lollipop ROM Resurrection Remix (Alpha Build).
- Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Tutorial For TWRP Recovery Users:
- Transfer downloaded file to your Android device by connecting to PC. Make sure you copied all files on SD Card (avoid coping within folder). Important: Don’t extract any files.

- Create a Backup using TWRP Backup Option.
- Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the screen do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.
- Now add zip file for flashing. to do so, tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the Resurrection Remix (Alpha Build) Zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add pa_gapps-micro-5.0-ALPHA1-20141117a-signed.zip. Now at the bottom of the screen, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.
- When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 and boot into Android 5.0.1 Lollipop ROM Resurrection Remix (Alpha Build).
- Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
